With 83 hectares, Parque da Cidade is the largest urban park in the country, consisting of areas of lawn, woods and lakes that lead directly to the beach. The project, led by architect Sidónio Pardal, was inaugurated in 1993 and completed in 2002. Inside, you will also find a riding school, with a horseback riding service in the park, and the Water Pavilion, an interactive space dedicated to showing the importance of water through different experiences, like making music, watching 3D images or creating a tornado.
