The Clérigos church is a work of Nicolau Nasoni that dates from the beginning of the 18th century. Its tower, with 75 meters height, is the tallest one in Portugal. The tower’s staircase has 240 steps that lead to a balcony with a panoramic view of the city and the Douro River. Clérigos Tower is without a doubt the most recognized monument in Porto.
